If I don't step on the brake, and press the power button, the prius goes to ACC. Pressing power again will cycle it into IGN. Once more and it will turn off. If I step on the brake, and press the power, the prius goes to IGN. If I press the power button again, it turns off. Is there anyways to go from IGN to ACC without turning it off first? For example, if i'm listening to something on the radio, or talking on my cell phone via bluetooth, and I reach my destination, can I somehow put the prius in ACC to continue talking or listening to the radio without interruption?
Hi lagreca, welcome to PriusChat. The short answer is NO. Since the ICE shuts down when you put the car in Park (until the battery gets low and it comes on to charge) just listen to the audio or keep talking on the phone. Using IGN in Park will keep from draining the 12V battery, where ACC can suck it dry fairly fast.
