I personally find that the showing the # of posts thing to be more detrimental than good. That doesn't show your worth to the forum just because you have over 500 posts or something like that - your first post or your 500th should be just as valuable. I think that it could make people feel uncomfortable by showing that it's only their 5th post or something or feel like you post too much with you have 1,000 posts (psst - don't look at my post count ). So, anyway, I took it out from showing up under your avatar, but it is still on your profile.
