I have a 2010 Prius that was just gifted to me. The air conditioning was not working. I took it that it needed Freon. I looked at the pressure switch on the high pressure side and noticed a broken black wire. I had a power probe connected up and red five amps of power. And I double checked it and hit the power probe power button. That sent 14.4 volts back through that five volt wire and it shut down quite a few things. Number one the control panel console is completely out now. It also took out a few circuits yet it did not blow any fuses. Now I have a diagnostic code of 0239 that says my ECU is not communicating with the other ECU. How do I get this brought back to life?
I don't know man but you're not supposed to shoot power through the pressure switch wires I don't think Why didn't you just reconnect the wire back up to the switch? I don't understand what the power probe logic has to do with all of this but cool and then the pressure switch in the sight glass won't tell you anything until the compressor can spin It's an electric motor without the pressure switch it won't come on because it can't sense the pressure and it could just run till it blows something up not like an explosion but until it no longer functions because of overpressure what have you so the pressure switch needs to work. Usually just making sure all the wiring is plugged up and working is a good thing You don't just start shooting voltage of wires that we don't know a lot about. I'm not sure what you'll do to get back now. You're 12 volt battery is and good order everything is okay and the power department take the power away from the car for about 10 minutes try to reset everything like you would your computer.
