just curious about how long people have waited for their pre ordered car...just ordered mine , at least that's what the salesman is telling me and that in a couple of weeks he hopes to have a vin number for me ....i guess that's procedure ?
sounds right. some people have been waiting months, but maybe they are starting to catch up, and the delivery times are shorter. keep us posted, all the best!
I put my deposit down on January 28. On March 29th salesman tells me the first one at their dealership will be delivered in 3-4 weeks. The person placed their order in November. Mine is likely to come in in May or June. Supposed to get me a VIN number and build date this week. I waited many months for my 2001 Prius, so I'm used to this.
My second prime i have placed order on November 22 2016 ...Got it on March 3 2017....just be patient....you will like this Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I ordered mine in mid-January, here in Austin TX (well, close to Austin), and I have reasonably-plausible evidence that it'll be in mid-to-late May. Their order-filling times will almost certainly improve considerably over time, as their manufacturing capacity ramps up. Also, they have an obvious $$$ incentive to fill their quotas in "compliance states" first, so most are currently going to CA and OR initially, plus a fair number to the Northeast, I gather. iPhone ? Reserved the car on 3/18/17 in SoCal and the vehicle has a vessel arrive date of 4/18/17 which hopefully means the dealer will have it a week later.
I can now update a little. My salesman e-mailed that my Prime is in the inventory schedule but no VIN number yet because it did not get to the Body Shop yet. It probably has a Unique Reference Number (URN), but no VIN yet. My Prime is expected 6-7 weeks from now. May17-24. This means It will be 16 weeks from deposit to delivery (not bad for a Midwest order). It seems like eternity.. I am excited... it is starting to feel "Real"..
You are all much more patient than I am. Especially knowing that there are cars sitting on the lot at a dealership in a different state and can be bought for less than MSRP and either driven or shipped to you in a couple of weeks.
Just be patient....this car is a keeper.....it will be project car for many that like to play with bigger battery packs..... Future is bringing more and more choices to choose Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Mine is expected in mid -May too. They must have scheduled a production run. They'll probably be on the same boat.
Interesting! Just guessing, of course, but perhaps they've just now swapped the production over to the final full-volume production line. iPhone ? Pro
I bought a Prime in Rochester ,New York and got the Costco discount in addition to a $2500 Toyota cash credit on April 4th. Cost to ship to Denver, $600. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
What was the Costco discount? I just looked on Costco's web site, and I had to select a dealer. After being swamped with emails about my "interest" when I looked on TrueCar.com, I'm hesitant to go through that again.
