Question for those who have been through Toyota training:
One of the "operational history data" parameters is
called "prevent staying", and the only explanation given
is "engine speed stays in resonance frequency band".
    .
So, what the F does that really mean??
Anyone willing to escalate that question to FTS and get a real
    answer?

It means that the vibration frequency produced by the engine matches the natural vibrating frequency of something that can be annoying (or worse). I have noticed this with other cars where the idle was too low and the car would shake.

An extreme example is the old Lockheed Electra turbo-props. At cruise the engines ran at the natural frequency of the wing. When the problem was found lead weights were added in the wing tips to de-tune the wing to keep them from falling off!
