Better soil management and 'plain old trees' are clearly adequate to cause 500 -> 300 ppm [CO2], if we take that as a common goal. Both they and geoengineering would be slow. Everything would be slow. We are talking about a planet here. The only 'fast' things are to slow the CO2 increase, by energy efficiency and renewable substitution. Do the fast things first
