:rant:Hallo guys. I just bought a salvage 2010 prius and got it repaired. It start overheating where a triangle light would come in the left corner of the Dash display at the same time it would say check Hibrid system and that would happen after 20 Minutes of driving. If I still keep on driving after 5 minutes all the warning light come on and the car doesnt move.I replaced the water pump.but still the same thing.Does any one know why.
First, you need to go somewhere & get your OBD-II error codes read out. That will tell you a lot more about what's wrong. There are two cooling systems on a Prius, one for the engine and one for the inverter that powers the electric motors. The reservoir for the inverter cooling system is in front of the brake master cylinder. Does it have any fluid?
This problem has been around before.......search for over heating......it has to do with air in the radiator line........
Make sure the inverter reservoir shows turbulence, it may juat need bleeding the air out of the inverter cooling system. Lots of posts on this.
