Prius 2011, 178k miles. Makes squeaky noise ( not very loud) when I accelerate above 45mph. This noise remains at all speed above 45mph. Since gen 3 do not have belt on Crank shaft pulley, am not sure what is making this noise? Anyone has similar experience? The noise seems to come from passanger side. Please share. Also, the fan seems to be bit louder when I start the fan. Is it common for Gen 3? I just got this Gen 3. I have gen 2 also, and I don’t have such issues in my gen 2. Please suggest.
Check the brakes and wheel bearings. Check the cabin air filter......but there is no reason to suspect that the blower fan on different models won't sound different.
