I stupidly left the hatch open while working on the car, then backed it up to test something, and pried the spoiler off a little bit so it is loose on the left and right sides. Now if I press on it hard enough on either side, it seems to 'snap' into place, but it is no longer flush. Are there any detailed instructions or better yet, exploded parts diagram, for how the spoiler is attached to the hatch? I guess the hatch is bent.dont know if inward or outward.is there a picture on how the hatch suppose to look like before installing the spoiller?help please!
It looks like you pulled the the five studs from the spoiler. So you may need to get a new spoiler. Here's a pic of what it should look like.
To remove the spoiler, u have to remove all of the hatch interior trim pieces. There are 5 bolts & 2 plastic clips that hold the spoiler down. In ur pic, i see that the bolts pulled right out of the spoiler. U will need a replacement spoiler.
I got the new spoiler but when im putting it on, i seems like it doesn't fit. I got it from the dealer so it is the correct spoiler.the hatch must have been bent. I just dont know if it was bent inward or outward... I was hoping to see a pix of the actual hatch without damage...
Do you have the two plastic clips attached to the spoiler (like in my picture) or are they still in the hatch?
After the incident they were in the hatch(the blue clips and devil clips).... but I took them out already...
BurnaJ yeah i have new clips too but the spoiler wont fit perfectly because i think the hatch is bent somehow...
