I just returned home from the Burning Man Festival. For those who might not be aware, this is a free-spirited, week long event attended by 30,000 people, held on a remote dry lake bed in Northern Nevada. As the conditions there are quite harsh (blazing sun, blowing sand, dust storms) I didn't dare drive my 2-month old Prius out into that tempest. Instead, I took my 10-year old Toyota pick-up which was also more practical from the standpoint that I had plenty of room for camping equipment, water, bicycles, etc. However, someone else there wasn't so timid about exposing their '04 Prius to the elements, as I did see a dust-covered Millennium Silver cruising the outer streets of Black Rock City. Bravo!
