hey, i have a 2014 plug-in advanced model with 90000 miles. it has all the features that come standard on the advanced model, pleather, heads up display, etc. however when looking at the blue book value of my car i noticed that it is significantly lower than the same year and same mileage "base" model that is without all the features my car comes with. in my area of california the values as of may 18, 2019 are: "base" model excellent condition: $13,897 "advanced" model excellent condition: $12,718 i wonder why... maybe the base model is made differently or has something i'm not counting to make it worth $1100 more? anyway, just thought it was odd. any ideas? thanks!
kbb shows 9k for advanced here, and 9800 for base. i think it's a programming error, but maybe someone will point out a reason. they claim to value by recent transactions, idk i'd gladly trade my base for an advanced, and a check for 800 bucks.
KBB goes back to 2011 I believe for PHEV; using data from wholesale market to extrapolate price. Less PHEV sales = less accurate retail/private party valuations
