my new prius c two has been parked in the garage for 4 hours since getting home from work. i walked out a minute ago to take out the trash and it was making a humming noise, like electric humming. is this normal? it stopped after about 10 minutes.

I don't have Prius c manual in front of me, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...-rear-car-after-being-parked.html#post1450496. My Gen 2 Prius came w/a card/tag on a string that w/the verbiage I quoted. On my Gen 2, I have personally heard the emission check myself, when going into the garage ~5 hours after I powered off.
