Are there any un used 12 volt wires under the hood of a Prius c that I could tap for the fog light relay just going to use the parking lights to trip the relay on
you can actually just go to the fuse box (drivers side under the hood) and run a positive wire from the heavy gauge wire that is there. hard to explain but once you look at it, you should understand.
I believe it's the big white one... but I may be getting it confused w/ the 2013... if there is not thick white one, look for a thick read one.
Thanks guys. I ended up using a fuse tap in the fuse box and the trigger wire from parking lights. The fuse I tap is only hot when keys are on so I can still use my parking lights because I didn't install the switch inside the car
So when ever you turn your lights on, fogs will always be on? Since the parking lights do not turn off when head lights are on.
I would love for my Fogs to be on with both regular headlights and the brights. I used a jumper on my Saturn, but haven't researched it yet on the C. Has anyone done this one the regular Prius?
yup you are correct. so the fogs will be on with the side marker lights and also on with the low and high beams. but they will turn off when the switch is in the drl or off position. this way is beneficial because you dont need to run any wires into the car and can install the fogs and run wires all under the hood.
Ah, ok. But at times, wont that be to much foreground light? That will harm distance vision. Might want to look into wiring a switch. But if you are okay with it.
