In keeping with the thread of what language is closest to English . . . . During my regular perusal today of Dagbladet, a Norwegian newspaper (I lived there for a year so I can read Norwegian), I saw a story about how more and more cars will be hybrid. It starts off "Just learn the word-hybrid. In a short time it will dominate the car and social debate around the world." Dagbladet Story It talks of Hollywood stars that own hybrids and as a consolation for those of us that have been on the waiting lists, it says that even Morten Harket (remember A-Ha, with the song "Take Me On" from the mid 80s?) is on a waiting list in Norway.
