I need some advice. The key for my Prius suddenly not working. I replace the battery and still not working. Both fobs fail to lock/unlock. The button under the steering wheel for resetting the controller, which I have also tried pressed several times.. It's a UK Prius. The weird thing is both fobs are functioning if I near the car from the driver's side of the window. If I am at the front or the back of the car, they don't work. The 12V battery has a voltage of 12.36V immediately after 15 miles of driving. Is the battery causing the problem? Hope I can get some advice. Thanks.
it could be. check the voltage in the morning before starting the car. if you can get a free load test, that's even better. check the voltage on the fob battery as well, should be 3.3v
