    Inviting your advice:

Starting point: 2014 Toyota Prius II Hybrid (base model),15" OEM wheels & original suspension. 283k miles and running strong with good DIY maintenance. I plan to drive this into the ground, dig it out, repair, and keep going. :) Need to replace the original shocks and struts (yes, 282K mi worn out). A LOT of highway driving with some cargo.

    GOAL
: Restore / improve comfort and performance on highway, with some rough suburban potholes. Raise car due to curbs, speed bumps, and occasional snow.

    PLAN:
FRONT: keep OEM front springs, replace original struts with Koni Special Active Front Struts PN 8745 1321 (R/L) and add 30mm spacer to lift the car front ~1.2" (curb clearance)

REAR: Koni active Shock 8245-1322 and replace OEM spring with Prius Off-road HD progressive springs (~1.8" lift). I carry passengers and cargo and need to reduce the rear sag/squat.

Re-alignment will be needed, and I will be checking bushing and strut mount / bearing... probably replace due to age. Keeping 15" wheels with 195/65/15 tires and may swap out to 205/70/15 in winter.

Main concern: In the rear, is there any risk of "topping out" the shock due to the 1.75" lift? Any other concerns as to performance of the shock I should be aware of in this configuration? Anyoen with similar set-up or experience?

From all I've read hear in the forums and online, this seems to be a possible improvement over OEM (albeit pricer than OEM struts and shocks). I do expect slightly firmer ride from the changes, but certainly should feel better than the worn out dampers which have become noisy and sloppy over the last 30k miles.
