A new study just out from the Insur. Instit. for Hwy. Safety has ranked the Prius "substantially better than average" in injury claims and "better than average" in collision claims. Of course, we don't know to what extent it is the car, or the drivers... Excellent news. I notice that the theft rate is probably so low they can't even rate it. Honestly I don't think a single Prius has been stolen... probably the only way to do it is to haul it away on the back of a flatbed, and even then they won't be able to hotwire it.
Any bets on how many media outlets will pick this up about the Prius being very safe (even with all those big electric wires)?
