My family and I will be flying into Providence, RI in July for a vacation/conference. Would prefer to rent a Prius/Camry Hybrid/Escape Hybrid if possible for the extensive driving we plan to do. If anyone has had experience with renting one of these products in Providence please let me know. We would much prefer to have the car dropped off and picked up at the airport since I'll be traveling w/ 3 kids and all our junk. I contacted one of the closer Toyota dealerships and am awaiting a response, but if anyone has a known contact or has already done all the hoop jumping I'd appreciate the help.
I don't believe there are any hybrid rentals available around RI. There is Zipcar in Boston and Planettran @ various airport (Providence too). But I don't think it will fit your need. The local Toyota Dealer rental will be your best bet. added : Try Enterprise rental too. Might get lucky if they have a few hybrid SUV in the area.
