I just returned from the dealer who did my annual 10,000 mile oil change / checkup/ top up.(45,000 miles total). Got by cheap this time, their promotion, every 5 th oil change / service / top up is free. Also used a $20 "Toyota bucks " promotional card to to reduce the cost of fluid , plug gaskets and push plugs so I can replace the transaxle fluid. They did their usual good service job, and free this time. Reading the print out, now at home, they list parts, PAD 5 TO9, 7 used, $15 . These parts were included in this free service, so no problem by me. I am just curious, what are these 7 PAD 5, TO9 , and where do they go on my Prius ??? At only $2 each, they cant be brake pads which I shouldn't need yet at a low 45,000 miles. Anyone know ??? I cant find anything matching those numbers on the Prius talk or Google search engines.
Does not look anything like a Toyota part number. My guess: it's some sort of "shop supplies" charge, for cleaning rags.
Thanks for the reply, a bit of a puzzle ??? The print out does have a seperate line for "shop supplies " , says no charge. I guess this is a question I need to ask them at my next visit.
