Hey guys here’s a video I made on fixing 12v power sockets in my gen 3. Mine stopped working and it wasn’t a fuse. Has happened to both my Landcruiser and my Prius so I assume many vehicles can suffer this problem.

The universe is repeatedly telling you that your slow cooker draws more power than your Landcruiser or Prius power sockets are intended for, and that you would be better advised to supply your inverter from the battery fuse link with your own properly-sized wiring and fuse. That's especially convenient to do in a Gen 3 Prius, where the battery is in a nice, accessible, clean, protected location inside.

This pic is more elaborate than just one added circuit for a cooker, but that's just because it's had more stuff added over time.

I recently tried this as I wait for a new outlet to arrive and no dice. does this work on all models? removed the wafer and no power. My outlet is hardwired to my 2nd 12V battery as well.
