If anyone's interested in your cost savings getting a Prius Prime vs regular car, I've created an excel sheet you can play around with that's attached to this post. Only real variables are miles/kWh, kWh in eV, $/gal, and kWh cost. My last vehicle was an Avalon @ 23 mpg. I drive round trip 28 miles a day, which I always have 5-7 miles eV remaining each day. Work provides free plugs, so I save about $1,143/year on gas, or about $4.38/day. Can't beat that! This excel sheet applies to all Prius' and plugins, just change kWh in eV to 0, change mpg, cost of gas...etc. Has a tab for Tesla as well. How many miles do you average daily?
