Two weeks ago I noticed a lot of Primes at the toyota dealer in Redlands, CA. I stopped and counted 21, all 2017 model year, all black interior. I inquired as to why so many, as I had never before seen more than two. Was told they expected gas prices to reach $4.00 this summer. (Current cost at Chevron is $3.60 per gallon for regular.) Today I drove by, and counted only 14 on the lot, and three were red whereas only one was red when I first counted. So I assume they sold 9 in the last two weeks, and added two. Seems to me that Primes are selling fast here, especially since these are 2017 model years selling in 2018.
makes me wonder why toyota bothers with cash rebates. and up in the bay area, they are giving them away. interestingly, gas prices here in florida have dropped from $2.70 to $2.40, in the 3 weeks we've been here. gotta love cali.
