Hello, PriusChat members and guests! The new proud owner of Prius v Three is here . It was our first a lot of things - first Prius, first brand new car, and first ever car loan (*insert an embarrassed smile here*). Both dear husband and I are devoted Toyota owners - we have Corolla and Paceo. They are twenty years old (each!), still running strong and pretty fuel-efficient, but both are small and frankly it was just about time! We played with idea of Camry or Venza for some time, and when we finally got around to test-drive Venza, we spotted HER - the new and big and gorgeous Prius v. We were sold on a spot! So we went home, priced it on truecar, emailed back and forth with a few dealers, haggled the price down to $26,100, and then just called the nearest dealer and offered that sum (with mats and net, of course ), and two hours later were back home with the car. That was 2 days ago. And yesterday I found this site! And thanks to you, guys, I've already ordered seat covers from Wet Okole. Honestly, I haven't even tried it yet - seems too complicated for me after my old simple base Corolla-92 with manual transmission... Hubs drives it for now. It will be his/our family car. Next is a smaller Prius for me, just for shopping and kid's school/activities. Hopefully, later this year.
If it came with the DVD, watch the DVD and the basics will be clear. Then sit down with a drink and the manual to learn all the other controls.
This reminds me of a question I've been meaning to ask: Does an introductory/instructional DVD come with the V? I was surprised I received none..but thought it might arrive in the mail at a later time. So far....it hasn't.
No DVD yet. I suspect it'll come in mail with a "package" we were told about at dealers. Hubs is doing it for now. Exactly in that order - drink in one hand, manual - in another
