    Now that all airbag systems are unplugged up to the control unit at the base of the center console I am left with warning lights....

    Questions;
    1. The cruise control module receives an airbag status signal. If that signal is NO.. The cruise will not set.
    To enable the cruise control... what signal is the cruise module waiting on and how can I fake it..
    Qualifiers. If your thought are WHY?. PLEASE Ignore my post and save the bandwidth for those who have a deeper understanding on how the ECUs interact.

    a. it could be a simple on or off signal.. of various voltage.. It could be a could be a can-bus signal.
    b. does anyone have a diagram of how the Air bag module talks to the Cruise module and what the communication is to work?

    2. Other question to follow.. this is the current pressing issue.

    Roll cage etc on a Prius race car . Most of bags and computers would be gone. Some new kinda racing I guess . Seems like the place you'd be in heaven is with a bunch of electrical automotive designers. Good luck .

    Why would you need to use cruise control if you converter your Prius to a race car?

    There's an online service manual available that may have some information. Maybe the SRS and CC sections? It may take a bit of sleuth work, but hopefully you can find what signal is needed to simulate "normal condition".
