That was last month. Got it fixed. Here's a newer recall, just out. Prior years of Prius: Toyota Announced Second Massive Recall of Prius Hybrids in a Month | Fortune
This was reported in AUSTRALIAN PRESS as "The recall applies to some Toyota Prius and Auris hybrids made from October 2008 to November 2014" - ie GEN 3, not GEN 4.
When I asked my dealer about this when I scheduled my 5k service, they said they had to order the part and it would take 10 days or so and they would call me when the part was in, to schedule the repair.
Yes. That's why I stated this is for "prior years Prius." But I will bet you a box of donuts that the Gen4 is going to have another recall... Sooner or later. I should've bought that Scion iA.
Well then, I should have bought a Hyundai. Glitch!! Why did this post 4 times? Sorry. China is hacking us again.
Holy smoke! That many recalls? Kind of makes me want to leave Toyota altogether. How's that Mazda, Mendel?
Sure, because Hyundai never have recalls... http://www.autonews.com/article/20180305/RETAIL05/180309645/hyundai-recall-steering-wheel-detachment
Damn! There's another good website. Carcomplaints.com. Everything sucks. Mendel is keeping quiet about that Mazda SUV.
Yeah, I thought owners were supposed to be notified end of September. I have yet to receive my notice.
I have also not received notice, but I checked my vin in the Toyota owners app and it applies to my 2017.
Sounds about the size that my old college roommate had for his papers . He collected every Wall Street Journal and Local Paper for 7 months. Pile got to 7 feet high before the other roommate and I loaded up my Jeep and found the nearest dumpster .
