Hi! I've been reading these forums since I ordered my Prius two weeks ago. Having to wait until mid September for delivery is just agony, so I try to make time fly by reading as much as I can about the car. I've seen several posts here asking for a downloadable version of the owners manual, but it seems that manual is only available in paper form (except the japanese manual, but there is a *tiny* language barrier here). But I have found a repair manual available from TradeBit. Has anyone bought this ($20)? Is it any goot? I guess it's quite technical, but there seems to be a lot of people here who actually dive that deep into their Prius. Best regards, Stein Tore (who must wait until the cold Norwegian autumn got get his Prius...)
The repair manual and all Toyota documents are downloadable from the tech site....for a fee. The PDF is a compilation of those downloads. It's also illegal to buy/sell it. Let your morals guide you.

They charge $19.99 for a PDF of 1607 pages. I can see that Toyota wants to charge money for the repair/service documentation, as these can be used to make money for the reader (perform repairs for other for money). But I am sorry that they do not have the Owners Manual available for free download. After all, it is delivered with all new cars (at least here in Norway), and should normally only be interesting for Prius owners or dreamers. I would love to be able to read the manual while I wait for delivery of my Prius. But I guess I'll survive through these forums... Stein Tore
