I heard on the news yesterday that someone was attacking Priuses - smashing windshields and doing other damage to them. I believe at least 34 cars were involved. Did anyone hear of this? I am assuming whoever was behind it has a problem with environmentally-friendly cars?
Kinda the reverse of that ecoterrorism incident a few years back where a bunch of big SUVs at a dealership were torched. Maybe it's yuppies frustrated over the high price to fill up their Tahoes.
Tahoe-osis: Yea, even the hybrid version owners must be enraged with the prius ... at an average mpg in the teens. GM ... sigh
Why does there need to be a deeper reason behind vandalism? If the culprits are ever caught I'll bet there won't be an agenda. The most likely answer to "why did you vandalize the car?" is "because it was there." Locally we've had dealer lots attacked. I doubt it was the competition.
