Just bought a 2010 prius with 137k miles and brand new HV battery replacement, i was looking at toyota service records and it says thats engine has been relaced with a used one, thats was 3 months ag ago done at the toyota dealership. I know these engines can go double the miles i have but i wonder why it was replaced, could it be a missprint from toyota? Is this a good thing or bad thing? I do not understand it all Thanks in advance
welcome! good, because the old one was probably bad. 2010 had it's share of problems. bad, because you don't know anything about it's history. but i'm assuming you got a great deal on a car that's had some major repairs. keep a weather eye on the oil level. all the best!
