Prius v 2013 Not shifting to gear in cold weather.

    This is my issue. Anytime outside temp goes down 15-16 F, the car wont shift to any gear (neither Drive or Reverse ) but engine starts. In
    most occasion if u keep the engine on and give some acceleration it works fine in 5-6 minutes.
    Last time the temp touched single digits it did not shifted to gear at all after an hour of keeping engine on.
    Any idea?

    There's no "gear" for it to shift to, this is an electrical issue. I'm wondering about the brake switch. When you move the shift lever, does the indicator on the dash still show "P"?
