I log in, I see "Private Messages: Unread 0, Total 5" I go to userCP, I see "Private Messages: Unread 0, Total 4" I go to ViewNewPosts, I see "Private Messages: Unread 1, Total 6" I go to see my PM I see "Private Messages: Unread 1, Total 5" But I can only count FOUR messages, which one is theoretically unread but I'm sure I read it since it's dated 22 march 2006 and I've re-read it a few times today just to make sure.
Look at the "Folder Controls" at the top. There's a drop down list there where you can select "Inbox" (probably the default that you see) or "Sent Items". Your missing messages are probably in the Sent items list. You can empty each folder independently with one click while viewing the list.
I've just sussed it out: It does not refresh the pages, it simply reads my cache. If I press F5, it will refresh and displays the proper value. This is strange: I administer Italian Toyota Club on Vbulletin and we do not have such caching problems.
Tramp, the caching issue is a fairly recent problem that Danny (this forum's administrator) has been working on, as described in the new forum software thread. If you have any ideas as to the cause or its fix, I'm sure Danny would appreciate some help.
Yeah it doesn't show any unread in mine BUT I have two messages in my Inbox that are BOLD which meant they're unread but I've read them.. and deleted them and they're still here lol.
