In the last few weeks, my 2012 TCH LE will not start. All the dashboard lights illuminate (and stay on) except for the green "READY" light. I will cycle through the power on/off with my foot on the brake to re-try and turn off the A/C, radio and headlights, but I get stuck in the same cycle of the car not powering up. The only way I have found to fix this is leave the car, wait a minute or so, then get back in and the car powers up fine with the ready light. I have just over 86k and the issue only comes up once every 20-30 times I try to start the car. I did a trickle charge to the 12V battery (an Optima Yellow Top D35) but it is only 1 1/2 years old so it shouldn't be dead yet. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
still worth testing the 12v, just cause it's fairly new doesn't mean it's good. are you pressing firmly on the brake, and then deliberately pressing the power button?
Correct. Fully cycling off when it doesn’t start and then firmly pressing the brake and starting from off and pressing the power button.
All the lights turn on — except the green READY light and if I shift into drive the car display says “shift into P to start the car”
Ended up going with the OEM dealer Panasonic battery today after a morning of having to jump the car. This 12V has worked great so far! Thanks for your help.
