Problem with a/c blower on 2008 Prius

    I have a 2008 Prius and have been having problems with the a/c blower just cutting out randomly and then coming back on equally as randomly. I can hear the relay click when I turn the fan on and off, but nothing coming out of the vents.

    Any ideas?

    Probably need to replace the blower fan assembly.

    Yes, it is a problem with the brushes in the motor. If you are a DIY type, one could open the motor and replace the brushes. They also might be just stuck in the holders, and could be loosened with light lubrication.
