I've had my Prius for only a couple days. When we picked it up the voice recognition worked. My wife had the car a couple days and now the voice recgnition doesn't work, but she never pushed the button nor did she go into the menu. It just stopped working on its own. When I press the button on the steering wheel the voice just says "Voice recognition is finished" and it displays the same words on the screen, but the "help" button is grayed out and doesn't respond. I went to menu, set-up and have "voice directions in all modes" clicked on, though I don't know if that is related to this problem or not. What does this mean and how can I get the voice recognition to work again? cc's offline to [email protected] would be appreciated
Other people have reported this same issue. Normally it is because they are holding down the button while they give the command. If you quickly press and release the button, it normally works.
