Are there any other power companies doing this? How One Electric Utility Encouraged Employees To Use Plug-In Cars
Well . . . . good for the NJ utility company, and good for the NJ utility company employees. Hmmm - so . . . . it kind of makes me wonder. Why is it that the two employees were so far ahead of the curve ... maybe (likely) already charging .... where ever they could, back in July or August (or even earlier) of 2013. For that matter, our Company (Disney) afforded us L1 charging spots way back in March of 2010 for the very first time ... back when most people had never heard of plug-in cars. They're finally just inking L2 contracts to make things a bit easier for the increasing number of plug in employees. All that said ... even L1 charging can affor full time employees around 9kWh's of juice ... which can get many plug in commuters as much as 40+ miles of range. That's about double the one-way commute of the average commuter. .
