I bought a Hybrid Synergy Drive decal from toyota on-line, thought it would be a lot bigger than it was ($14.42). The letters are less than a inch high. It says on the bag, for Authorided Install Instructions, see the Electronic Toyota Information System. I can't seem to find that and I don't want to peel off the paper because I don't know if it goes on the inside of the window or out and I also don't want to screw up the decal trying to figure out how to put it on. Has anyone put one of these decals on their baby that can help me out? A pic would be nice and info on how to take off the paper on the decal. Thanks in advance,
If the paper is on the "front" side, then the decal goes on the inside. If it's on the back, then outside? Peel a little of it off, you can tell then. How about a pic? Once you get it done if nobody else comes up with one?
What car is this on? If the distance between the two lower defroster lines spans a dime, then it's accurate. If not, it's misleading.
I know it's a year later from when this forum was posted, but maybe this will help people who are currently having problems: I just bought the same 'Hybrid Synergy Drive' decal sticker, part #PT747-00072. Online where I bought it, the description says 'white on clear sticker' so when I peeled back the backing and saw no lettering I was concerned. I was also concerned b/c by the pictures it looks as if it should be about 1" letter height and what was sent was about 1/4" height. I looked at the sticker more closely, and was able to peel back the other layer of the sticker to reveal a clear sticker and the 'Hybrid Synergy Drive' lettering at 1/4" letter height but it was a VERY FAINT silver almost, barely noticeable. I called the dealer and returned the decal. What you get is certainly NOT worth the almost $15 the decal costs + whatever shipping is! I was expecting a much larger sticker, with actual white lettering and to be able to peel the clear sticker off leaving just the white letters (die cut sticker)--no outline of a clear sticker like this one leaves.
The picture with the sticker on the car is a Camry Hybrid. Notice the 3rd brake light. The sticker for the Prius is intended to put anywhere you want I would think. I would put it centered on the lower rear window on the hatch above the Toyota emblem.
Please everyone do not buy this decal! It's very dull and does not show up well and is a complete waste of money. I got it in a frenzy of buying misc accessories for my new Prius.
