My buddy is mechanic at the VW dealership here in Cincinnati, and they have these solar panels that fit on the windshield and connect to the power outlet to slowly charge the battery when they sit all day in the lot. Does anyone on here know if you can do the same on a Prius? Or a link to solar mods? Thanks! -David
The power outlets are cut off from the electrical system when the car is off, so you would have to find a way to work around that. And that would only gain connection to the small 12v battery, not the larger, HV pack.
