I'm going to buy a Prius this evening and I need to know the difference between an 06 and 07 Prius? Not the new Touring edition or anything. Is there anything different about the computer or HSD, anything like that. Anything that would make me lean towards an 07 Thanks, Russ

I thought I heard something about more airbags becoming "standard" on the '07 Prii than were standard on the '06. Maybe this is a touring/non-touring distinction, though? Also, there may have been a re-shuffling of the package numbers?

Hi RussellS We bought the Touring Edition = larger rims (16") + Bridgestone turanza tires, HID headlights, Different suspension and added the Option A 'package.' We felt the ~$270 difference well-invested over the Standard. As for the "Standard" the previous post is quite correct... really no visible differences, just fewer "packages" that the '06 with included features/package shifted around a bit. You're gonna LOVE your new Prius.
