On the whole, I'd suggest that Americans are a whole lot stupider than that video shows. Look at last novembers election for exhibit A. Wait for 2008 for exhibit B. Take enough video and you could splice together something just like that. You know they had a lot of footage of fairly well informed individuals giving good answers to these questions, but you didn't see a single one of those.
