I've noticed that on my Prime, when I manually switch over from EV mode to HV by pressing the HV/EV button, the engine makes a rattle like the sound of loose marbles being tossed. This only happens when the engine starts for the first time during the drive in HV mode; under normal HV operation, the engine turns on and off quietly. Has anyone else noticed this on their Primes?
I have noticed a similar thing. And I installed an oil catch can at 21 k to collect data But here's what I found at 30k miles when I did our oil change: So this spooge is recycling around . Since the engine runs less, the longer you go without running the engine, the more condensation builds. Something to consider .
