Saw another bloatmobile yesterday at a stop light -- Ford Expedition -- sporting a "Support the Troops" magnet. I wanted to get out of the rental, bang on the driver's window and yell that if they really supported the troops they'd drive a car that gets more than 10MPG. These SUV owners with these stickers amaze me with their short-sightedness.
Well, I don't know about you, but frankly most expeditions do better than 10 mpg in average driving. Ok, I realize you were being humorous. Anyway, I'm glad they do want to support the troops, although they may not be doing it with their vehicle, and there is some logic to reduction of fuel consumption leading to less demand for foreign oil and in conjunction the possibility of less concentration of national efforts in that region. But I won't go any farther as I do not wish to incite a political debat. Well, I suppose the ball is already rolling on this anyway.
