Decided to adopt it. Almost got in a big wreck during the test drive. A duck was strolling across the road at a leisurely rate. It was at dusk. I didn't see it until I was about 50 ft away going 45 mph as the salesman alerted me that there was something in the road ahead. Braked moderately hard, guy behind me was barreling down on me, I said sorry duck and accelerated. Duck flew away and quacked at me (all p.o.'d ), guy behind me swerved and didn't hit me. No scratches. Nobody hurt. No animals injured in the test drive. It was a lot of money. Not too much driving on it yet, but 130 mpg with 70 miles on it. With the warm phoenix weather, the engine isn't kicking on during the 1st 2 mins anymore. Cool car. Must learn all the bells and whistles of the base model. Tom PS - I don't have a PhD, but I'm working on one.
Astrophysics at Arizona State University. It used to be my hobby now I'm trying to make it my profession. Was a EE engineer for 30 yrs. Maybe this is my midlife crisis. That was interesting and fun at times, but the stress levels were getting higher than the rewards. I knew/know 3 or 4 people who had heart attacks/strokes. My former boss died from his, two others recovered. The 4th had an aorta burst, so I don't know if that really counts. I feel fortunate enough to be able to walk away before my health deteriorated.
