I swapped out my rear brake pads and rotors today.

It was getting really hot at 32C, so I quickly torqued everything and put it back together. I had to grind some of the ears of my Wagner Ceramic pads. The problem with aftermarket stuff it that it sometimes doesn't fit by a few millimeters. Next time, I will buy a dremel to make this part easier.

After putting everything back together and getting out of the sun, I realized I forgot to the put those anti-rattle V clips in the rear. The question is do I have to jack the car back up, get all my tools out and remove the wheel just put these flimsy clips back on?

I am just too tired and sweating. I don't want to do put these clips in if I don't have to.

If all that's involved is wheel removal, I'd wait till it cools, then do it.

Regarding ill-fitting aftermarket pads, maybe check out Amayama prices for genuine Toyota next time. You need to factor in shipping too, but typically I've found the all-in prices pretty good:

    https://www.amayama.com/en/catalogs/toyota/prius/3-hatchback-right-xw30-2009-2830/transmission-and-chassis-2/rear-disc-brake-caliper-dust-cover-144

There's multiple part no's listed, might want to research what's up with that.

BTW, did you ensure the piston caliper orientation was correct, and well seated? That's crucial to avoid dragging brakes. Just jacking up the rear and spinning them is a good check, after a test drive. More info in one of the links in my signature (on a phone turn landscape to see signature).

Which is another way of saying, the nice thing about the Toyota parts is they come right out of the box and go right on the car, and you can give yourself Dremel hand working on other projects of your choosing.
