While parking today, I tapped the car behind me. My rear bumper caught the steel bolt holding the license plate of the car behind me. It took off the paint layer all the way down to the plastic. It's not very big, perhaps about the size of a dime. How would I go about repairing this?
I'd get a bottle of Toyota's touch up paint & a tube of ScratchX. Fill in the chip with thin layers of paint & smooth it out with the ScratchX.
lol @cossie The tube of ScratchX is sound advice but I'd shy away from the dealer's Toyota branded paint. Its likely been sitting on a shelf in a hot warehouse somewhere for months and not going to match the car... thats why they sometimes give it away with "each new car purchase!" finding new touchup paint online isn't that much of a chore these days.
