Hi all, I thought I already posted this but can't find it...? And didn't get any responses My rear bumper on my 2021 silver Four looks as if it is a slightly different color? I'm sure I'm just being paranoid I bought the car used and there was no Carfax evidence of a repair... I went looking for the VIN tag on the rear bumper and can't find it...? If there was a repair done - they at least put back every single fastener. I was hoping someone out there could tell me if they have a VIN tag on their rear bumper and where it is. or that their bumper on their silver Prius also looks a bit different depending on the lighting Thanks, Mark
No I haven't I was hoping someone would just open their trunk and take a look around see if their car has one and where.
The bumper colors will be different in all cars. It's the metal vs plastic difference. You should have the same variance on both Bumpers SM-N900P ?
Both bumpers are plastic therefore the color will be slightly different than the rest of the metal body. (hood, doors, etc.)
Your photo doesn't help. Note that your hatch doesn't match the fender. I doubt a plastic bumper cover gets a VIN sticker. I think I have a good match. I've also looked at a car and sometimes there is a difference & sometimes there isn't. When the parts don't go through the paint booth at the same time there's no guarantee they are the same shade.
The color of the bumper cover does look darker than the fender in your picture. You might have to pull bumper cover off to look for the VIN sticker. SCH-I535
