Rear Seat Removal for Car Cover Installation, Gen 4 2016 Model Can someone provide a description and/or photos on how to remove the Gen 4 2016 Touring Prius, rear seats. I'm installing neoprene car covers. I looked on the various forums, but most seem to cover the older models. Thanks so much!
Ditto. I just purchased seat covers for my 2018 Prius four and am also looking for any instructions on how to remove the rear seat. I have leather seats. The rear leather seats in the 2018 are completely different. Both seat and seat backs appear to be a single piece and cannot be separated. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.
Belay my last. The seat and seat backs in the 2018 Prius Four are still separate pieces. I assume other Gen 4 models are the same. The split between the rear seat and seat backs is actually slightly up the back of the seat - probably to keep objects from falling behind the seat. Looking behind the seat, it appears that the gen 4 seats use the same rear mounting brackets (steel "U" tongues) as in earlier models. However, I was unable to ascertain how the forward part of the rear seats are secured. I was afraid to attempt removal for fear of damaging the seat. In any case, instruction on how to remove the rear seat is still needed.
You mean seat covers? I'm stuck trying to picture what kind of car cover would need the rear seat removed.
