anyone else notice that the farthest top setting and farthest bottom setting for the rear window wiper are the same? what do you think the reasoning is behind this?
You're referring to the rear washer fluid. The reasoning is that you're one click away from spraying the window rather than having to turn all the way to one side of the knob to spray washer fluid to the rear.
I've never tested it, but on the Lexus RX350 "3" (the farthest top setting) is "Washer operation" and "4" (farthest bottom setting) is "Washer/wiper dual operation."
when you turn wiper stalk counter clockwise and hold it there you get the rear wiper on and washer fluid. when you turn it one time clockwise you get intermittent rear wiper. turn it again clockwise you get constant rear wiper. turn it again clockwise and hold it you will get rear wiper on and washer fluid.
