OK minor gripe. But I have to click down 3 screens to reach the "Recent Activity" page. I like to view this page, because it gives me a good look at what threads are currently active and alive. Who's saying something to someone...right at the moment. Is there anyway access to this page could be brought closer to the surface?
Why not just use the New Post feature ? Thats what I do and it prioritizes what is the most recent. Saves me making decisions .
Recent Activity seems to update better. Shows everything being responded to in all forums, even FHOP/Politics. For example, this response doesn't seem to show up on New Post page. New Post, doesn't seem to update as aggressively. As far as prioritizing, Recent Activity puts the very latest response right at the top.
I too use the new posts "button". It shows FHOP but not politics. Perfect. It seems that you have a choice to make.
Well, my intent here wasn't really to start a debate over which button is best. Recent Activity ALSO shows actions such as currently applied "likes" to a post. It is recent activity as opposed to just new posts. For getting the pulse on what is happening in real time I think it is superior. My question was just couldn't it's access be brought closer to the surface. If you like "New Posts" better? Well I check that too...
I seem to recall "recent activity" was along the top once upon a time, on a desktop pc browser? Didn't use it much, just "new posts" and "alerts", but I don't see it now.
It's a trifle. A 1st world problem. But yeah, I would like it if it was available to link right from the top.
