My poor 6-month old baby Prius C got rare ended badly on Highway 101. Anyone knows of a good and reputable repair shop near San Jose, California? Preferably a shop that specializes in hybrid cars. As you know, the battery is located under the rare seat of the prius c, which - unfortunately - is within the impact zone of the accident. I'd like to find a shop with knowledgeable mechanics who knows prius and prius c. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Also - is there anything else that I should ask the shop to check on other than physical/body damages and the battery?
Try these guys: Art's Automotive I have absolutely no experience with them ( I live in NJ ) but I do go on the website a lot and there is lot of useful stuff on it and it looks like they really know what are they doing. I would ask them to check the frame and make sure that there is no damage to it. If you do have damage to the frame car will never drive straight again and you can have all kinds of problems with handling and uneven tire ware. Hope you find really good body shop that can take care of your car.
Thanks for the recommendation, Hopopotamus. The shop unfortunately is 2+ hours drive from where I live. I called Toyota dealership and they referred me to a body shop that they work with a lot and is in the same city where I live. Just bought my prius c to them yesterday. Hopefully it's the right shop and will fix my c back to its perfect condition. Thanks!
Carwest? In the future, The works auto body in Santa Clara and B-Line in San Jose are both top-notch shops, from what I've seen and been told.
