Red battery light on dash 2012 prius V touring

    The red battery light comes on my 2012 prius v after a couple of minutes of starting my car

    Car drives perfectly fine

    It is off every time when i get in the car and start it again

    But it always comes on after a minute or two

    Anyone have any ideas what's causing it

    By the way the 12v and HV battery is fine

    hard to see, is that the 12 volt? if so, how old is it, even though it's 'fine'?

    You need to have the trouble codes scanned with a scantool and post what they are. It looks to me like a HV battery problem. Please take note, not all scantools can read the Prius HV battery codes.

    What is the 12v charging voltage? Should be over 13 in Ready. You do have the 12v charging light (inverter) and the hybrid fault light.
