Red Triangle with no codes

    Our 2007 Prius base recently had the Red Triangle pop up and stay on. AutoZone's code reader is not picking up a code for the battery.

    Symptoms: the battery health bars are fluctuating from low to full within a few minutes. also started to hear the fan for the battery stay on for longer periods of time.

    Looks like is time to replace the Hybrid battery but want to make sure it's not the inverter.

    Thoughts before I take it to the dealer?

    There is not enough information to give you any conclusive advice except to say that the symptoms you describe is more likely HV battery related than inverter related.

    To be sure you need to have the codes read. That will confirm the area of interest.
